1200 are left without power after outage

MOST of Aberdeen city centre and areas to the north of the city were affected by a power cut yesterday.

A statement from power company Scottish Hydro said the AB24 and AB16 postcode areas of the city were left without electricity.But the company said that by 2.30pm all of the properties affected by the cut had power restored to them.

In total, 1200 customers are thought to have been affected by the problem.
