£300m plan to redevelop theme park could create hundreds of jobs

A £300 million redevelopment of a former theme park could create hundreds of jobs if it gets the green light.

Plans have been put forward for a golf course, complete with club house and golf academy, to be built on the site of Loudoun Castle theme park in East Ayrshire.

A whisky distillery, new homes and a food and drink centre of excellence would also be constructed on the 600 acre site, near Galston.
