Scots with a £35,000 hankering to circumnavigate the globe in a private jet are being offered the perfect package holiday.

A tour firm is arriving at Edinburgh's plush Balmoral Hotel on September 11 to sell the 21-day trip to those with a taste for the celebrity high life.

The round trip, aboard a Harrods private jet, is due to leave Heathrow Airport on March 5, 2015, with stop-offs in Mexico, Brazil, Easter Island, Tahiti, Australia, Cambodia, India and Tanzania.

Organisers promise hassle-free luxury as the 92 passengers fly between destinations on a customised Boeing 767 complete with spacious leather seats, gourmet meals, and unlimited fine wines and champagne, as well as "seamless luggage transfers" and fast-track immigration and customs arrangements.

Gary Bartelings, UK manager for organisers Captain's Choice, said: "This tour will be ground-breaking, even by the standard of private jet touring."
