£45m design centre given the green light

PLANS for a £45 million design centre have been approved by Dundee City Council.

The V&A at Dundee, which is being built in partnership with London's Victoria and Albert Museum, received unanimous backing at a planning meeting last night.

The centre, which has been granted more than £18 million in funding from the Scottish Government, will showcase the best in Scottish design and host major exhibitions.
