A NEW record for a work by a Scottish artist was reached at Christie's auction house in London when Peter Doig's The Architect's Home in the Ravine sold for £7.65 million.
The painting by Edinburgh-born Doig, now based in Trinidad, was sold at an auction of Post-War and Contemporary Art, which raised £81.6m. The 1991 work depicts Canadian architect Eberhard Zeidler's modernist home in Toronto.
