A musical twist

COMPOSER James MacMillan brings a modern twist to the biblical tale of Sarah and Abraham at the Edinburgh International Festival.

Clemency at the King's Theatre, which stars Janis Kelly and Grant Doyle in the lead roles, is being billed as a show of "spiritual intensity and reflection" from the leading composer and conductor.

Co-produced by Scottish Opera and Royal Opera House company ROH2, it features five singers and a string orchestra.
