It's been one of the most colourful careers in football.

Ally McCoist began his career at St Johnstone before moving to Sunderland in 1981 and Rangers in 1983.

He became the club's record goalscorer, netting 355 goals and winning the coveted golden boot twice. He took over as manager at the club from Walter Smith in 2011.

As reports now suggest that McCoist has tendered his resignation at Rangers, we look back at his career with the Ibrox club.
