The world’s largest Bible is due to go on display in Glasgow today.

But instead of in book form, the King James Bible, all four million letters of it, have been used to recreate Michelangelo’s the Creation of Adam.

Viewed from afar the 3mx4.5m image shows the famous painting from the ceiling of the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel, but as the viewer gets closer words become discernible. Every book of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is written on the one sheet of paper in eight point size.

It is the creation of artist Kenny McMillan, who created a computer programme for motillism, using words to create an image from afar. “It’s nice to have these words to hand on the wall as opposed to being stuck away in a book,” said McMillan.
