Around 1250 people were left standing outside the venue as the London Philharmonic Orchestra concert, due to take place as part of the Edinburgh International Festival, was called off at the last minute.
The disruption has cast doubt over the ability of the hall to host the rest of its festival programme, which includes Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti's festival debut tomorrow night.
