Another Glencoe climbing victim takes 2013 death toll to 12

A climber has died after falling on Glencoe’s highest peak, taking the death toll on Scotland’s mountains this year to 12.

The man, who has not been named, was among a group of five descending near the summit of Bidean Nam Bian when the accident happened at around 3.20pm yesterday.

Mountain rescue teams worked late into the night to find him, and his body was located on the mountainside.
