The campaigner for greater transparency in public bodies, who claims he has had his emails repeatedly blocked by the Scottish parliament, says he is still waiting for an apology.

But Rab Wilson rejects those who have used his case to attack the SNP, saying "This matter has nothing to do with politics though - it would not matter which party was in charge."

He points the finger at Scottish Parliament officials, saying: "For more than six months I have been trying to get straight, honest answers to five simple questions relating to the performance and management of public petitions by the Scottish parliament. The Scottish Parliament seems incapable of providing these answers."

A Parliament spokesman said: "We responded to Mr Wilson's FOI within the set deadlines and continue to work with him in order to respond to his FOI request following the clarification we received." It said it uses automatic IT filers to protect against viruses and spam.
