Archbishop Philip Tartaglia, who will formally take over as head of Scotland's largest diocese today, has spoken about the comments he made regarding the late Labour MP David Cairns.

Mr Cairns, a former Scotland Office minister, died last May at the age of 44 from acute pancreatitis, and Bishop Tartaglia later linked the MP's homosexuality to his early death.
