Arrest made as man dies of injuries following disturbance

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of another man following a disturbance.

Ian Rankin, 46, from Clydebank, was found by police seriously injured in the town's Graham Avenue shortly after 1.30am yesterday.

Police Scotland said Mr Rankin, known as Gerry, died a short time later.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested and is in police custody.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
