Thought to be about 30 years old, the man was discovered shortly after 10pm on Sunday September 8 within The Boardwalk on Aberdeen's Beach Esplanade.
The drawing, created by an expert, has been published in the hope that it will prompt any family, friends or colleagues to come forward and give police a name.
The death is not thought to be suspicious and police say they are not looking for anyone in connection with the matter.
Constable John Urquhart, of Police Scotland, said it is unusual no one has come forward to report the man missing. "It's very sad that this tragic case happened and we still don't know the identity of the person who has died. He's someone's son, brother, uncle, friend, and I think we would all empathise with how difficult this must be for his family in particular, who must be missing him at the moment."
The man had reddish brown hair, green-hazel eyes, freckles and is thought to have been a smoker. He was white, 5ft 9in, weighing just under 10 stones.
Police released an image of the man's clothing: Officers Club dark-blue denims, black Adidas top, orange Adidas t-shirt and size nine F&F grey plimsolls.
