Faraz Shauketaly, who works for the local Sunday Leader newspaper and holds dual UK/Sri Lankan nationality, was yesterday being treated in intensive care following the attack on Friday by three gunmen in his home in Mount Lavinia on the outskirts of the capital, Colombo.
