Baby joy for wife of missing sailor

THE WIFE of a missing Scots sailor has described her new baby daughter as a beautiful gift from him.

Rachael MacColl, 25, whose husband Timmy, 27, vanished four months ago while his Navy ship was docked in Dubai, spoke about the agony of giving birth without him by her side.

She was supported by his mother, Sheena, as she delivered her 7lb 4oz daughter by caesarean section on Friday morning, naming her Eriskay, a nod to her husband's Scottish roots.
