Badgers suffered in failed pilot cull

An independent study of pilot badger culls is said to have concluded that they were ineffective and too many animals suffered.

Research commissioned by the government found that more than 5% of badgers took longer than five minutes to die, failing the test for humaneness, according to the BBC.
