Bakery steeped in history

Bradfords was founded in 1924 by Hugh Bradford with his sons, Hugh and William, on Niddrie Road in the south side of Glasgow.

The business moved to Pollokshaws Road in the 1930s and it grew into one large, busy shop.

In 1969, the premises were sold off by Hugh Robert Bradford – grandson of the founder – who went on to start the family business afresh with his wife, Helen, in Glasgow and then in Giffnock.
