Banks to pay back £10m ATM cash

BANK customers who left a total of £10m behind at cash machines are to get it back.

The Royal Bank of Scotland, and its subsidiary NatWest, are to pay back the money to 300,000 customers who ordered money in an ATM withdrawal, but then forgot to take their cash – as far back as January 2005. HSBC has also announced a similar policy.
