SOLDIERS from The Royal Scots Borderers, the 1st Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, dressed in ceremonial outfits to say thanks to local people for their support.

The service personnel, who are due to move from Dreghorn Barracks in Edinburgh to Palace Barracks in Belfast, paraded through Prestonpans in East Lothian for a final time ahead of the move yesterday. Among those on duty was Pony Major Cpl Mark Wilkinson with the current and retired Royal Regiment of Scotland mascots, Cruachan IV and Cruachan III.
