Pamela Stephenson told how the Big Yin was left affronted after a fan looking for an autograph saw her topless.

Connolly, 71, had asked her to keep her clothes on during a recent trip to Mauritius because too many people recognise him.

However, he was angered when she took to the beach wearing nothing but a tiny thong and told her she looked like a "Brazilian hooker".

Stephenson, 63, a sex therapist, told how the comedian spent much of the rest of the holiday sulking in their hotel room watching television show Boardwalk Empire.

The trip was the first holiday the celebrity couple had gone on together for more than 30 years.

Glasgow-born Connolly told how he only travels for work and hates beach holidays.

He said: "When Pamela sets her mind to something, she's probably going to achieve it.

"The tenacity with which she pursues the doing of her will is insurmountable, so within weeks I found myself being dragged to yet another airport for yet another long-haul flight.

"My idea of a nice break is lying in bed being brought cups of tea while watching football, Law & Order or one of those reality shows set in a prison."
