A Scots village will re-inforce its claims to be the southern gateway to the country's largest national park today with the opening of a new ranger centre.

It is the result of a partnership between a local estate and the Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA).
It is just one of several projects on the same site in Blair Atholl village, including a museum supported by CNPA. Work is due to start later this year on a new visitor information centre.
