Blooming success

Green-fingered Channel 4 presenter Sally Eaton checks the first Galanthus Nivalis or 'snowdrops' in Edinburgh's Royal Botanic Gardens.

The lichenologist, who hosts Wild Things, was preparing them for next week's Scottish Snowdrop Festival. The popular Scottish Snowdrop Festival is back in 2013 at Edinburgh, Dawyck and Logan gardens.

Organisers want to highlight the many varieties, which appear to be similar. Walks are also being lined up to shed light on the plants.
