Blueprint for high-speed rail link to Scotland drawn up

THE first ever blueprint for Scottish high-speed rail services is being drawn up, it has emerged.

Keith Brown, the Transport Minister, revealed that HS2, the company set up by the Department of Transport to draw up feasibility plans for high-speed rail south of the Border, has now been asked to examine proposals to extend services to Scotland.
