Body found in Aberdeenshire confirmed as that of missing man

A body found on the shoreline in Aberdeenshire has been identified as that of a missing man.

Police Scotland recovered the body of Fraser Carrington, 32, at around 9am on Friday in the St Cyrus area.

Mr Carrington, from Fife, had been reported missing when he disappeared in the early hours of Sunday while night fishing at nearby Tangle-ha.

Police said there are no suspicious circumstances.

They said next of kin had been informed and a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
