Body found in search for missing climber

THE body of a 39-year-old man has been found in Glencoe in the Highlands, after reports that a climber had fallen on Bidean Nam Bian.

The alarm was raised at about 3.20pm on Friday, and the search and rescue operation involved Northern Constabulary and members of the Glencoe Mountain Rescue, assisted by an RAF rescue helicopter.

The death is the latest in a series of incidents in the Scottish mountains in recent months.
