Police searching for a missing teenager have found a body in a stretch of water.
Sarah Smith, 19, was last seen leaving her house in Port Glasgow, Inverclyde, at around 6pm yesterday.
She was reported missing by her family who said it was unusual behaviour and police said they were "becoming increasingly concerned" for her wellbeing.
Officers had been searching for her and a body has now been recovered at Cardwell Bay near Battery Park, Gourock.
A formal identification is still to take place but the teenager's family have been informed.
