Police searching for a missing man have found a body in a river.
Robert Toshack was last seen in Lanark Road, Edinburgh, at about 10pm on Tuesday.
The alarm was raised when the 50-year-old failed to return home.
Officers were called to the Water of Leith, near Baberton Loan, at about 9am today where a body had been found.
Paramedics helped officers remove the body from the water and Mr Toshack's family have been informed.
The circumstances of the death are being investigated and a report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal.
