It is understood the service will become available on Freeview in May or June next year, and during its hours of broadcast BBC radio stations will not be available through the digital television service.

Boost for Gaelic as BBC Alba set to broadcast on Freeview
Gaelic television channel BBC Alba is to launch on the Freeview television service but will take the place of BBC radio stations.
