YOUNG holidaymaker Lee Rodger made his dreams come true when he became one of the first passengers to fly out of Glasgow on a revolutionary new aircraft.

Boeing's 787 Dreamliner, which promises new levels of sophistication and comfort for travellers, took off at 9.40am with 291 passengers on board, bound for Cancun, Mexico. Tour operator Thomson marked the aircraft's first transatlantic flight since taking delivery in May by welcoming customers with bagpipers and Highland dancers.
