Burns work to go under hammer

THE words to one of Robert Burns' best loved songs - Ye Banks and Braes O'Bonnie Doon - written in his own hand are to be sold at Bonhams' Books, Atlases, Manuscripts and Photographs sale in London on June 18.

The poem is estimated to fetch £30,000 to £40,000. The song was written in 1792 and first published in Johnson's Scots Musical Museum.
