Consumers are more likely to switch their bank if they could keep their account number, a poll has found.
Around two-thirds of people (63%) support the introduction of portable account numbers; 59% are more likely to switch banks if they did not have to change their details; and 76% believe this would make the process easier, the survey for Which? found.
