Calman cancer centre opens
SIR Kenneth Calman, one of the world's leading cancer specialists and the founder of Cancer Research Scotland, has opened a £1.5 million respite centre named in his honour.
The Calman Cancer Support Centre, at Gartnavel Hospital in Glasgow, will provide free complementary therapies to more than 1400 people each year.
