Cameron v Salmond TV debate ruled out

THE Prime Minister will not take part in a live TV debate on independence with the First Minister.

Downing Street has all but ruled out the prospect of the leaders clashing, with a Whitehall source insisting David Cameron was not going to fall for one of Alex Salmond's "wheezes". The First Minister had suggested a debate with Mr Cameron after the Edinburgh Agreement over the 2014 referendum.
