Canoeist feared dead is named

A MAN who is feared dead after his canoe capsized on Loch Tay has been named as Darren Gilpin, from Edinburgh.

The 29-year-old has been missing since the vessel overturned at around 4.45pm on Saturday. His companion swam to shore and raised the alarm. Police search parties and a rescue helicopter have been deployed but no trace of Mr Gilpin has been found.
