Man, 28 arrested over death at caravan park

A man has been arrested following the death of a  man at a seaside caravan park.

Emergency services were called to Sandylands caravan park in Saltcoats, North Ayrshire, late last night.

A 41-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man has now been arrested in connection with the death on Thursday.

Police Scotland said that a 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death.

He is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
