The Maggie's Gartnavel centre in Glasgow has been named the Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland 2012 by the Royal Incorporation of Architects Scotland at a ceremony in Holyrood.
The building, designed by Dutch architects OMA, was praised for being a "place of calm" that was "simultaneously welcoming and open" by the judging panel. The award comes with a £25,000 cash prize.
