Monsignor Paul Conroy, general secretary of the Bishops' Conference of Scotland, has been appointed vicar-general of the Archdiocese of Glasgow, effectively Archbishop Tartaglia's deputy. He will take charge of the archdiocese for October, while the Archbishop is in Rome.
