Celtic clash with police over flags ban

CELTIC have found themselves at loggerheads with the police after telling fans a ban on flags and banners at the Boxing Day clash with St Johnstone had been reversed.

The club said on its official website the policy had been reviewed ahead of the match at McDiarmid Park.

But Superintendent Kevin Lynch, match commander, said the statement was "disappointing" and the ban on flags and banners remained in force.
