CHANNEL 4 News came under fire from irate Scots last night after it referred to Team GB as "England" on its Twitter feed.
The channel was forced to quickly delete the post after followers, including Rural Affairs Minister Richard Lochhead and MP Tom Harris hit out at it.
The tweet said: "England now third in Olympic medal table after Victoria Pendleton wins gold in keirin cycling event."
Mr Lochhead then replied: "Please clarify your tweet that: @Channel4News: England now third in Olympic medal table."
Mr Harris added: "Dearie dearie me @Channel4News: England now third in medal table. These guys don't make it easy for us."
