Donna O'Halloran teamed up with the father of David's best friend to write the song, which tells of the dangers of heavy drinking.
The single, The Warning Bell, is part of a wider attempt by Ms O'Halloran to raise funds independently now Central Scotland Police have confirmed they have scaled back their search.
