ABOUT 3000 cheerleaders will come to Scotland later this year for the first European Championships held in the UK.
The event will be staged at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow this summer, and the city council believes it will bring some £1.3 million to the economy.
Organisers said 34 teams will compete in the two-day event and 5000 people are expected to come to Scotland, including competitors, coaches and family.
