Clients moved amid probe

HUNDREDS of clients of a solicitor's firm under investigation over alleged financial irregularities have had their case files transferred to another company.

Concerns have been raised by the Law Society of Scotland over the state of financial affairs at Alder Hogg & Co in Kirkintilloch following a routine inspection.

An interim judicial factor has been appointed by the Court of Session to investigate business transactions at the firm. Two solicitor partners Philip Hogg and Alison Greer have had their licences to practise suspended pending the probe.
