A climber who fell in the Cairngorms has died.
A rescue operation was launched on Sunday after the man fell while climbing Fingers Ridge in the Coire an t-Sneachda area. Police, mountain rescue teams and an RAF helicopter were all involved in the operation. The climber was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness but died of his injuries on arrival.
