Club popular with Old Firm stars has licence suspended

A VENUE popular with "Glasgow's glitterati" and owned by nightclub kingpin James Mortimer has been effectively shut for a month and banned from admitting under-21s after hundreds of incidents.

Strathclyde Police told Glasgow’s licensing chiefs yesterday that between July 2010 and the end of June there were a total of 212 incidents at Karbon, in Buchanan Street. They included 57 violent assaults, around 50 thefts and 40 disturbances, as well as a sexual assault.
