SCOTLAND'S celebrity horse Baron is heading for a well-deserved retirement at the rescue centre in Aboyne, Royal Deeside, where his journey to fame began.

The Clydesdale has spent the past 14 years taking schoolchildren and tourists round Glasgow's Pollok Country Park in a traditional dray cart. He became famous as one of the models for the giant horse sculpture, The Kelpies, in Falkirk.

The mighty 18 hands high horse will be welcomed back to World Horse Welfare's Belwade Farm this Sunday at its fun day.
