Comeback for singer who vanished in 1971

A SCOTS folk singer compared to Joan Baez is making a comeback 40 years after she vanished following two acclaimed albums.

Shelagh McDonald is singing again at the age of 64, seven years after a re-release of her work without her knowledge. Her career had been expected to soar after she released a critically acclaimed second album, Stargazer, in 1971. Instead, she disappeared, with most fans not knowing whether she was alive, despite reports of sightings in Edinburgh, Bristol and even America.
