NINE-YEAR-OLD Amy Robb casts an admiring look at a new carved wooden sculpture that aims to be a legacy of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Titled Mackintosh's Rose, it has five intertwining roses and is inspired by the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. It is in Bellahouston Park, next to House For An Art Lover, which was based on Mackintosh designs.

Robert Coia carved the sculpture with help from pupils of Pirie Park Primary, Govan. It is part of a chain of 11 planned works by Mr Coia across the city. Picture: Jamie Simpson
