Community farm shares on offer

AN organic farm is set to become Scotland's first community-owned farm – and anyone over the age of five can buy a share in its future.

Shares from £50 to £20,000 are now available for Whitmuir Community Farm, near West Linton, south of Edinburgh.

Those behind the plans say this pioneering model of land ownership will enable the new community benefit company to make the farm a living, learning space.
