SCOTS rugby commentator Andrew Cotter has told how he had to abandon his BBC microphone during a live televised match after being struck down by the winter vomitting bug.
Cotter dashed out of the media area at Rome's Olympic Stadium in the early stages of the Italy v Wales match in the Six Nations.
The 40-year-old, from Troon, Ayrshire, needed an emergency injection to curb the bout of sickness to enable him to fly home.
